We bring together mosquito datasets from across Canada to advance research, biodiversity monitoring, and public health.

What is The Mosquito Hub?

The Mosquito Hub is a collaborative initiative to bring together Canada’s fragmented mosquito datasets. We standardize and connect records from museums, government programs, and research labs, making them easier to access and compare. Our goal is to build a national resource that strengthens biodiversity research and public health preparedness.

Available Datasets

Our first standardized datasets are in preparation and will soon be accessible through public repositories. These will include:

  • Pan-Arctic Mosquito Surveillance Project : a multi-institutional effort to consolidate mosquito biodiversity and virus screening data from across the Arctic.
  • Government of Northwest Territories Mosquito Records : historical and recent collections that will provide a foundation for northern biodiversity monitoring.

We are looking for collaborators!

To build a truly national resource, we need the expertise and data held by researchers, curators, and institutions like yours.
